Lodge update

We passed our pre inspection with RWB Rasey. We are even eligible for the Grand Masters award again this year, three years running, good job lodge brothers. We conducted a short business meeting then retired to the dining room for refreshments and fellowship. We are in the planning stages for our annual Mothers day breakfast coming up on Saturday May 1st at 9am. The one day class is getting closer, May 15th at Bryan, we may have 1-3 candidates if all goes as planned. This Thursday the lodge inspections continue with Friday being the last one for the year in the 5th district. And yes, it is at our lodge at 7pm this Friday, the grand daddy of them all. See you at the lodge, Matthew

There was over 170 in attendance for the reception. MWB Terry W. Posey addressed the group with words of inspiration for all. Jim Parsons and wife, Dan woods, my wife, daughter and I represented Liberty Lodge. Great food was reported by all. The desserts were so-so but edible. We have our pre-inspection meeting tonight at 6:30pm before our regularly stated meeting with RWB Cecil Rasey. We may have a few surprises for Cecil tonight during the meeting, come and listen in if you can.

Mondays Lodge Education presentation

RWB Lem Teague presented an outstanding and interesting presentation on the first Naval battle to take place outside of his home in Maine. If you have never heard Lem give this, you consider inviting him to your lodge for a visit. We presented Lem with a LC 518 Golf shirt for his visit. If you would like to know more about this or other items of interest, contact the lodge or better yet stop up and participate in a meeting, see you at the lodge. Matthew

Bryan Lodge Inspection update

Bryan performed a letter perfect FC degree Friday evening. Our own WB Ralph Creager was not able to attend. So our efforts were doubled to win the traveling trophy. Napoleon however overwhelmed the sidelines with brothers and took it home again. Ralph hopes to be back this week to attend the inspections again. Thursday and Friday we have yet another opportunity to bring it back to Liberty Center. Let's get out and show some support for the lodge. In closing I would like to say this, there are 19 currently in the running for perfect attendance at the inspections. Out those 19, 3 have to be there, the two DDGM and our DEO. So, that means 16 lodge brothers are in the hunt, out of those 16 Liberty has four. That is 25% of the count, I am very pleased with that result. Thank you brethren for your dedication to the craft. See you all tomorrow night at the lodge for our regular stated meeting, Matthew

Valentine's Dinner

From Frank Koch, one of our eldest members to Tom Brogan, our newest member, and a few visiting guests we had a very fine meal and evening of friendship at "The Barn" in Archbold last night. Prime Rib was the feature on the buffet offered along with a lot of delicious sides to go with it. Everyone left with a full belly and a satisfied sweet-tooth. 19 total were in attendance. Glass Roses for the ladies and a bag of sweets for everyone. Well attended and well done, thanks to all who came out and spent the time with each other, it was good for the lodge and everyone there. Ralph and Betty would have made it but they were there in spirit. See you all next time, Matthew
